Since Satoshi mined the first crypto from Bitcoin it has been on the rise. At first, it was more of a subculture than a respected currency, something that has definitely changed over the last decade. There was a company for those of you who remember called MT Gox that was the

# 1 choice for any cryptocurrency trader between 2010 and 2013, at most 70% covered of the tradable Bitcoin market. However, in February 2014 it came to an abrupt halt since Mt Gox announced that approximately 850,000 Bitcoins had been stolen from its Hot Wallet, valued at $ 450 million at the time.

 

Despite the Mt Gox hack being by far the largest, almost all the largest exchanges have been attacked at some point by hackers and in some cases managed to steal cryptocurrencies. “We were actually one of the first adapters to cryptocurrencies in 2011, using Mt Gox as a daily trading solution to increase our Bitcoin assets. Everything was going well until the accident in 2014, where we also lost all of our Bitcoins.

 

We haven't really spent too much time thinking about it, but when we see people still relying too much on using the same company for both crypto and wallet service, we thought we had to do something about it.
